Samsung thinks iPhone users are stupid



It is common knowledge that Samsung continuously running ads in which, instead of enhancing the best features of their devices face potential consumers, some iPhone are displayed most of the time, trying to make Apple users feel inferior , degraded or simply stupid. It is something I personally have never seemed to make sense as a business strategy. That is, the owners of an iPhone is not going to feel stupid and switch to Samsung, but they will call them idiots.

But with the recent announcement of the South Korean company, you can see in iPadizate , which show the differences between the methods of charging devices in both companies, I realized that not intended to take users to the Cupertino, but maintain their own.

The battle between connectors

In the mentioned announcement, most of the time, iPhone users trying to plug in, unsuccessfully, to their devices Lightning cables show. Then at the end of the commercial, an owner of a Galaxy leaving his terminal over a wireless station connected load previously shown.

Of course, anyone who has seen the ad, knows that induction charging station must be connected to a USB port, as the Lightning cables. Then the battle for connecting devices to a plug would be the same for both types of users and, once done, the difference between inserting the Lightning port on the iPhone or leave a Galaxy on a base is negligible.

By misinterpreting the difference in the advertising campaign, Samsung not about making Apple users seem stupid, but is assuming that we, the viewers, are stupid, so stupid to know how it works as a connector.

Then why?

Why show such commercial? No Apple user will change their thinking about their products, and no one with a basic knowledge of connectors are going to swallow this hoax, then why show them? Why not invest the money to solve other major problems, which is not lacking them?

Because South Koreans think they will do to existing owners of a Galaxy feel better about themselves. Because Samsung believes that making such campaigns will do its users laugh at Apple terminal owners and therefore cause the number of consumers pass iPhone is much lower.

I personally think that Samsung users are much smarter than that; failure here is that the company itself is not.

Apple, by contrast, continues not only showing the best side of their own devices, but their respective owners doing amazing things with them, sacándoles the most. Not that this is to be a prize; it is simply inspiring.
