Apple patents a GPS Navigation System with Siri's "Human"

Apple has registered a new patent called "humanized navigation instructions for mapping applications." The truth is that the name says it all, this patent will incorporate in a more humane future for GPS navigation Siri.

Thus, instructions Apple maps will be much more "humanized". Perhaps because we have become accustomed, but still strange to receive instructions mechanized or robotic voice that simply leads us north to south or from left to right.

Siri will issue more specific instructions and "humanized"

Instead of having the feeling of receiving instructions from a robot without emotions, now we can get all the information we want as we drive as if it were coming from a friend sitting in the passenger seat.

In fact, it seems to be, Siri will guide us in the right direction including references to local shops and restaurants nearby instead of giving us instructions like "Head north" or "turn right".

Here are some examples:

  • "Sal's near the Burger King parking and then turn right onto Avenue".
  • "Your destiny is the apartment complex with the water fountain at the front".
  • "Your destiny is located just behind the bar Manolo".

According to the request of the patent in October 2013, the system focuses on understanding rather than accuracy. Apple reported that it is possible that the new Siri GPS navigation allows users to make corrections and, together, improve the instructions that lead to dead ends.

Then do not miss as Siri ago lost an old man and his grandson:

As well inform us via Web Autoblog , the Apple patent says these modern systems "will not affect the mental state of the user." Although perhaps some of the instructions can be Siri gives us something fun, but everything to help improve the GPS navigation will be welcome.
