A couple falls down a cliff on their first date and the Apple Watch saves their lives

We have lost count of how many times the Apple Watch has been essential to save someone's life . We have stories of all types, from women who fall down to users to whom the Apple Watch has detected a serious heart problem , however we had never heard a story like the one we bring you today .

As reported by the local chain News 12 New Jersey , a user's Apple Watch has saved him and his companion's life by detecting a sharp fall and automatically calling emergencies . Fortunately both are well, although with some important injuries.

James Prudentian, 28, and his appointment, Paige Paruso, were hiking in Hartshorne Woods Park , near Middletown Township, last week when it was dark and they were lost in the forest .

Without knowing very well how, they stumbled upon thorns on a small cliff and were trapped. After some time, they decided to slide down the hillside to try to escape from there and find solid ground, however they went to stop against some rocks and the Navesink River.

“WE REACHED THE BOTTOM AND THAT WAS WHEN I REALIZED THAT IT WAS LIFE OR DEATH. I LOOKED DOWN AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS A DIRECT FALL TO THE ROCKS AND WATER. I WAS SCREAMING THAT I WAS GOING TO DIE BECAUSE I REALLY FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO DIE. THERE WAS NO WAY OUT OF THIS. ”

Fortunately, the Apple Watch sent three messages to James's mother indicating that her son had called emergency services and giving him an approximate location. Thanks to the Apple Watch, both were rescued by the authorities and are expected to recover completely.

They found Prudentian in the river on a rock and with three fractures in the back, several scratches and with several spines that were still stuck. James Prudent himself has declared that without his Apple Watch they would not have been able to survive .
