We've been listening for months on a smartphone designed by Android creator Andy Rubin. A terminal that seems to be drawing a lot of attention, both for its characteristics that we know today, and for the person who has designed the same. The phone has a name like Essential Phone, from our point of view a bit bland.

These are the characteristics of a terminal that can end in two ways. Being a resounding success of sale or being a terminal that, despite having weapons to be the first thing, remains in an anecdote. Everything will depend on very mundane factors. The success of the Essential Phone will depend on such prosaic factors as the price (something normal) and how many countries arrive the same. Look for example the Google Pixel and we will see some big terminals but that due to its little reach in countries where it is for sale, it has serious difficulties to be considered a success, in spite of the undoubted benefits that it has.
Now we see that on the front highlights the screen, especially the position of the video call camera at the top, breaking the continuity of the screen. It is a design that was speculated for the LG V30 or iPhone 8 but we finally see here for the first time.
The diagonal will be 5.7 inches and will have a resolution of 2560 x 1312 px that will give you a 19:10 aspect ratio, different to both conventional (16: 9) and LG G6 (18: 9) or Galaxy S8 (18.5: 9). Let's see where these differences end in the ratios of the screens that we begin to see in the Android world.
A set of modules for the Essential Phone
Although there are manufacturers that have surrendered in their attempt to have a modular smartphone others like Lenovo are still betting on it.
The Essential Phone is going to add to this trend, which we must recognize is still a little shy, with a system of magnets located in the back area that allow to use accessories such as the 360 degree camera that has been presented at the same act .
A magnetic connector for charging and a charging dock will also be available. Despite this, the USB Type C connector is maintained, which will also serve as a headphone port as it does not have a 3.5 mm jack.
