Only 20% of iPhone users has spent the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus

The new models of the iPhone has become the most successful smartphones of Apple sales to date. But it appears that the numbers will continue to grow, since only 20% of iPhone users have updated their devices or buying the iPhone 6 6 Plus.

This information was revealed by Apple CEO Tim Cook in the earnings conference last Monday when an analyst questioned whether the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus could still grow their sales numbers.

Apple sold 61 million iPhone in its fiscal second quarter

Apple's financial results were surprising. In Q2 conference confirmed that Cupertino had sold, nothing more and nothing less than 61 million iPhone during the second fiscal quarter, which achieved record sales with 13.6 billion dollars in profits over the quarter.

In the emerging market, where as previously mentioned at the iPhone 6 have not fared as well, with sales up 63% in the same period last year. The Apple should further boost sales if they want to compete with the launch of the new next-gen devices.

IPhone users increasingly buy

Another news that Tim Cook wanted to highlight in Q2 is that the new iPhone were bringing a greater number of users with respect to other older models of Apple devices.

This could mean that the HD Retina display iPhone 6 and 6 Plus could eventually attract more users of Android and other platforms.

If users continue to embrace the iPhone and a good percentage of users update their Apple smartphones to the latest models, there are still many possibilities to extend the benefits of sales in Q3.
